How to get to The Barefoot Eco Hotel & Villas
The resort is seamlessly connected to Malé International Airport with a scenic 45-minute domestic flight, followed by a short 15-minute drive from Hanimaadhoo Airport. This is the only way to reach the island.
To ensure a smooth journey, please provide your flight details and the full names of all travelers at the time of booking—or no later than three days prior to arrival. Once received, our team will take care of every transfer arrangement on your behalf.
Upon arrival or departure at Malé International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our resort representative at Counter E2, ready to assist you every step of the way.

Visa is issued free of charge upon arrival and it is valid 30 days. In accordance with health requirements all travelers travelling to Maldives are required to submit an Online Traveler Declaration within 96 hours of their flight time to the Maldives, which is available here. Round-trip domestic flight transfers to/from Malé International Airport are currently charged at USD 390 per adult and USD 320 per child (2–11 years old), including taxes, valid until 31.10.2025. After this date, the rates will be USD 400 per adult and USD 350 per child (2–11 years old), including taxes.
Flight date change fee after booking: USD 70 per person.

The flight can be either direct or with a stop; it depends on the schedule provided by Maldivian Airways. Once your booking is confirmed, we will be able to share the exact flight details with you.

Baggage allowance is 20 kg and 5 kg hand luggage per person, excess baggage is chargeable and must be paid directly to the Maldivian Aero. Single luggage exceeding 20 kg will not be accepted.

It is illegal to bring alcohol and pork products into the country. Vaping devices are also not permitted. All these items will be removed at customs.
For those who use tobacco products, you may bring a personal allowance of up to 200 cigarettes, 25 cigars, or 250 g of tobacco, provided the packaging shows health warning labels.
Additionally, please be aware that dogs, including assistance dogs, are not allowed to enter the country.
It is strictly forbidden to export turtle shells, coral and shells not bought through legitimate commerce. In the interests of the environment, it is forbidden to break or walk on coral.
Alcohol is not allowed in local islands. The Barefoot Eco Hotel guests can drink alcoholic beverages on the exclusive floating bar.
